Thank you for your interest in our puppies! If you haven’t already, we kindly ask that you take a moment to visit our “Available Puppies” page to check for any current listings. Here, you will find detailed information about the puppies we currently have available, as well as pictures and descriptions of each individual puppy.
If there are no puppies currently available and you are interested in future litters, we encourage you to fill out the application form provided below. This will allow us to notify you as soon as new litters are born and give you the opportunity to reserve a puppy in advance.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to match each puppy with the perfect family.
Waitlist:
If you are interested in one of our future litters, please contact us to be put on a wait list. Fill out the application form at the bottom of the page, and include when you would be looking to adopt a puppy. Please include details, as we’d like to know something about the homes our pups go to.
Deposit:
A $500 deposit can be made to reserve your puppy of choice, either once a litter is confirmed, or after the puppies have been born. The deposit is non refundable, but may be transferable to another puppy/litter. Once puppies have been born, families/individuals are able to select their puppy in order of deposits received. Selections can be made anytime from newborn to 7 weeks old. Any remaining pups will be available to those not on the waitlist. All pups will go home at the age of 8 weeks old. Total cost of your puppy will be $2500.
Flying your Pet:
With True North Teddies, flying a puppy is easy!
You are welcome to fly to the Edmonton International Airport to pick up your puppy: just let us know your flight times and we will meet you on arrival with your new family member! Otherwise, we can book and coordinate available flights with a timeline that works with you. Pick up is at your local airport. We also offer a flight nanny service (to select areas only), please ask about this if interested.
**Some flights/pricing may differ. Not all locations are available.
**We cover the cost of the airline approved crate
**Puppy must be a minimum of 8 weeks old prior to flight date
Holding Puppies:
If you have adopted a puppy with us, they will be ready to take home at the age of 8 weeks. If you are unable to take your puppy when they are old enough to go home, and would like us to hold them we offer extended care for our puppies. The rate to hold your puppy beyond 9 weeks is $15/per day. We will keep your puppy safe and sound until you are ready to bring them home to their new family!
Keep in mind that it best for puppies to be at their new homes prior to 10 weeks. The younger the pup, the easier the adjustment to new surroundings.
What comes with your puppy:
We all love the idea of sweet puppy snuggles and adorable tiny wagging tails. But before you send in an application, it’s important to stop and ask yourself a few honest questions. Am I ready for middle-of-the-night potty breaks, teething, training sessions, and endless curiosity? Do I have the time, energy, and patience to guide a growing puppy through socialization, manners, and routine care? Can I commit to the financial and emotional responsibility that comes with a dog for the next decade or more? Puppies are wonderful, but they’re also a big commitment. If you’re prepared for the whole journey (not just the adorable moments) then you might be ready to welcome one of our pups into your family!
Please fill out the application form. It is important to fill out all the fields so that each pup can find the perfect home.
Once the Application has been reviewed. We will get back to you as soon as possible during business hours.
Note: Due to the high volume of inquires we have been receiving, we will only be responding to those that show serious thought has been put into this decision. Our first obligation is to the care of our pups and pets, and puppies should never be adopted spontaneously.
Welcome to True North Teddies! We are a small in-home dog breeder located in Edmonton, Alberta. Our dogs are first and foremost our pets, and we raise our puppies in a loving family environment to help produce puppies with well rounded personalities.
